The Beginning
How it all started
We decided to leave England and our careers and move to France for a complete life change. When we ( LJ & Fin) drove up the tree lined lane to reach the property La Vergne for the first time, we realised how special the place was and how amazing it could be and once we saw the lake and the land we knew we had to buy it!
We live on-site with our daughter and four dogs: Fox, Fern, Asta & Darcy and will provide a warm welcome on your arrival. Our aim is to be discreet, however we can advise on fantastic days out and what to do during your stay.
We have been busy updating and renovating the gites to create stylish and contemporary interiors to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.

The Property
Buildings & Grounds
We have lovingly transformed the Gîtes into peaceful and tranquil spaces with contemporary and traditional French furniture. With a few little luxuries like free Wi-Fi throughout, music via Alexa devices, Nespresso coffee machines and not forgetting the convenience of USB ports in the light switches in the bedrooms.
Our property consists of a house, barns and a complex of gites surrounding a gravelled courtyard which lies in a shallow valley comprising 15 acres of meadows, oaks, wildlife ponds and a fishing lake.
Gîtes de la Vergne is surrounded by open countryside, which offers many opportunities to discover the flora and local wildlife. We have an extensive network of walking and cycling trails that allow our guests to walk long distances without having to worry about traffic.
